Entero Virus D68

The Entero Virus  is coming out as pretty popular now. This is one out of 100 Entero viruses. This was identified in California in 1962. There are mild and severe symptoms in this virus. Some mild symptoms are fever, runny nose, sneezing, cough, and body and muscle aches. Some severe symptoms are  wheezing and difficulty breathing. This can be spread by saliva, nasal mucus, and sputum. The Entero virus D68 is mostly spread around summer and fall in the U.S. This virus is just like ant other where it is spread around during it's season. But in 2014 there was a boom in the virus and tons of people had it. The people at risk are mostly infants, children, and teenagers , because  they do not have a built enough immune system yet. Children with asthma have a higher risk from this disease  than someone without asthma. This disease is only diagnosed by doing specific lab test. There is no specific treatment for EV-D68. Some people that have severe upper respiratory illness from this can be hospitalized. The only way you can prevent yourself is from doing stuff like when you have other types of these diseases. You can help yourself by washing your hands and avoid touching your mouth or eyes without washing you hands first. Also by not making contact such as kissing, hugging, and sharing cups or utensils with people. Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough. Also you should disinfect surfaces that you touch such as toys or doorknobs. This is what you need to know about the Entero Virus D68. Leave comments below please. :)

Ebola

A very large topic going around the world right now is the virus disease Ebola. Ebola was first brought out in late March when it was recognized. In Africa the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Guinea was first to report the outbreak of Ebola hemorrhagic fever in four southeastern districts: Guekedou, Macenta, Nzerekore and Kissidougou. They figured that neighboring countries to Guinea had some people with Ebola in it. These two countries were Liberia and Sierra Leone. The number of people started to grow and it started to get spread out more around Guinea. By April 1, 2014 there were 122 probable cases and 80 deaths due to Ebola. After the whole month of April it was reported that now there was 221 cases of Ebola and 146 deaths. Nothing too interesting happened during the time period from April 30 from August 30 except for more countries reporting that they have the disease in them and new numbers of reported cases and deaths. These other countries were Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria. On the date of August 28th it was reported that for Guinea had 648 cases of Ebola, including 482 laboratory-confirmed cases, and 430 deaths. Liberia had reported 1378 clinical cases of Ebola, including 322 laboratory-confirmed cases, and 694 deaths. Sierra Leone had reported 1026 suspect and confirmed cases of Ebola, including 935 laboratory-confirmed cases, 422 deaths. Finally, Nigeria, they had 17 suspect cases, including 13 laboratory-confirmed cases, and 6 deaths.

On September 6th it was to believed that Ebola was in the U.S but there were no confirmed cases. Many other countries had no new reported cases of people with Ebola near the end of September. On September 30th it was the first case of Ebola found in the United States. After this was found out U.S went heavy on checking flights that were coming from Nigeria, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. On October 10th a health care worker in Texas had symptoms of the disease. On the 23rd of October their was case of Ebola in NYC. On November 5th there was a update and it stated that the cases of Ebola are getting less and less.

So, what are your thoughts on the topic of Ebola? Pleases leave your opinion in the comments.
